SebaProDkThere's 8 different ways to get Victory points. VP (victory points): from cities, from greeneries, from awards, from milestones, from cards, raising oxygen, placing ocean tiles, and increasing the temperature. SebaProDkIn Terraforming Mars you can play cards, do standard projects, activate cards and fund awards. [tip] Only 3 of the 5 awards can be funded during the game. 4archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment000
SebaProDkThere are 6 different standard projects you can play. You can sell cards, raise energy production 1 step (Power Plant), raise the temperature 1 step (asteroid), place 1 ocean tile (aquifer), place a greenery (raise oxygen 1 step) and place a city tile. [tip] Placing ocean tiles, raising oxygen and, raising temperatures gives you 1 point instantly.5display_main000
SebaProDkIn every game, you will start with a choice between 10 randomly chosen cards and 2 corporations. You can choose 1 corporation and max 10 cards. Each card will cost you three megacredits (M€). Some cards have special requirements that will make them not playable early in the game. [tip] There's 208 cards and 13 corporations. Every greenery will raise the oxygen once, give 1 point at the end of the game, and give points for how many of your cities it is next to.
