OBJECTIVE
Achieve the lowest total score over 9 rounds (holes). Just like in real golf, a lower score is better!
GAMEPLAY (per round)
Each player starts with 8 cards dealt face-down in two rows in front of them.
- Start: Each player flips over any two of their cards.
- The Turn: On your turn, draw the top card from either the draw pile or the discard pile.
- Swap or Discard:
- You may swap any of your 8 cards (whether face-up or face-down) with the card you drew. The old card is placed face-up on the discard pile.
- If you drew from the draw pile, you may also discard the card directly face-up onto the discard pile. If you do this, you must flip over one of your face-down cards.
- End of Round: Once a player has flipped all 8 of their cards face-up, all other players have exactly one more turn. Then, all remaining cards are revealed.
CARD VALUES
- -5 (Hole-in-One): The best card.
- 0 (Eagle): Very good.
- 1 to 12: These score their printed value.
- Stroke: Cards with "+" values (e.g., +2 or +3).
SPECIAL RULE: PAIRS (Sharing)
If you have two identical cards (same number) in a vertical column, that column scores 0 points (even if they are high numbers like two 12s!).
- Exception: Two "-5" cards in a column count as -10 points total.
Double pairs A double pairs (two pairs) beside each other will score -10
SCORING
After each round, the points of the 8 cards (considering pairs) are added up and recorded. The player with the lowest total sum after 9 rounds wins the game.
