Yeah, I agree it can seem a little confusing if a ritual has been cast and if the relavent mythic creature has been summoned.
However I'm not sure of a good way of solving this visually. Currently there's no way to align cards into the same column like you suggest. I'll think about other ways we could show this to the user though.

I figured out a way of resolving this issue by having a minimum width between cards. This has been released and should be available to you.
I quite ike this as it represents the physical board game in a better way.
