But checkered flag always means the end of the race. So the best course of action would be just to remove those flags from that last lap string and we'd lose all ambiguity (when I first played a normal mode game on BGA I was really confused because I thought the game ended after one lap after seeing those flags flashing on the top of the screen and I didn't have time to read whole line).
Regarding to slipstream, does this game prevent you slipstreaming when you cross the finish line every lap? If it does, that's an error too. If you read the official rule book it clearly states:
When you have crossed the Finish Line on the last lap:
Slipstreaming is not allowed (you cannot slipstream across the Finish Line either).
How I interpret this is that they want to prevent slipstreaming for changing the end race result, not to prevent slipstreaming when you otherwise move past finish line on other laps. Checkered flag as symbol is there to indicate it only applies on the lap when you finish the race.
I mean while crossing and after finish line, not for whole last lap of course.
