A mad scientist named Dr Foo has built an unstable time machine, the Omniscience 2000, and is using it to hop between seven great Eras of history, spawning duplicates of himself and tearing open rifts in spacetime.
Those rifts are slowly shredding reality itself. If too many pile up on one Era, it turns into a Vortex, and if the universe accumulates too many Vortexes, everything is destroyed and the players lose together. Yes, the LOOP is a coop game! Standing in Dr Foo’s way is a ragtag squad of Time Agents, you and the other players, armed with a personal deck of quirky "Artifact”.
Each Agent's turn feels like a little adventure of its own. You hop from Era to Era, spending your Energy to move, then dip into you hand of cards to patch up rifts, take down Foo’s duplicates, or scrounge up more energy for later. With every turn that ticks by, Dr Foo grows bolder, spinning off more duplicates and hurling rifts into the timeline, forcing you and your team to stay one step ahead or watch the universe collapse.
Like in most coop games, there is one way to win and multiple ways to lose. Success means the team puts away four sabotaged pieces and therefore save spacetime, closing with a triumphant "K.U.D.O.S!" from headquarters and, well, some XP, but that’s a BGA exclusive... Failure means the Agency's wall of shame gains new names, and the universe quietly ceases to exist. NO PRESSURE… but… EVERYTHING DEPENDS ON YOU!
You’ll have a Designated Instructor accompanying you through the tutorial if you want to get acquainted with how to defeat Dr Foo and his terrible time machine. Otherwise, the first time portal is waiting for you.

Um cientista louco chamado Dr. Foo construiu uma máquina do tempo instável, a Onisciência 2000, e a está usando para viajar entre sete grandes eras da história, criando duplicatas de si mesmo e abrindo fendas no espaço-tempo.
Essas fendas estão lentamente destruindo a própria realidade. Se muitas delas se acumularem em uma Era, ela se transforma em um Vórtice, e se o universo acumular muitos Vórtices, tudo é destruído e os jogadores perdem juntos. Sim, LOOP é um jogo cooperativo! No caminho do Dr. Foo está um esquadrão heterogêneo de Agentes do Tempo, você e os outros jogadores, armados com um baralho pessoal de "Artefatos" peculiares.
Em cada turno o Agente é como uma pequena aventura por si só. Você salta de Era em Era, gastando sua Energia para se mover, e então recorre às cartas da sua mão para reparar fendas, derrotar os duplicados de Foo ou reunir mais Energia para usar depois. A cada turno que passa, o Dr. Foo fica mais ousado, criando mais duplicatas e lançando fendas na linha do tempo, forçando você e sua equipe a se manterem um passo à frente ou assistirem ao colapso do universo.
Como na maioria dos jogos cooperativos, há uma maneira de vencer e várias maneiras de perder. O sucesso significa que a equipe elimina quatro peças sabotadas e, portanto, salva o espaço-tempo, encerrando com um triunfante "Parabéns!" da sede e, bem, um pouco de XP, mas isso é exclusivo da BGA... A derrota significa que o mural da vergonha da Agência ganha novos nomes e o universo silenciosamente deixa de existir. SEM PRESSÃO... mas... TUDO DEPENDE DE VOCÊ!
Você terá um instrutor designado para acompanhá-lo durante o tutorial se quiser aprender a derrotar o Dr. Foo e sua terrível máquina do tempo. Caso contrário, o primeiro portal do tempo estará à sua espera.
