Here's what happened to me during Sushi Go Party.
I had picked the Spoon to be put in my hand, and selected the Spoon to see what would happen during the same time time my girlfriend had picked the chopsticks to play (trade for another card). She got to complete her chopstick action, but then it kept prompting me to pick a card for my chopsticks. At this point I could not pick a card - because I never originally had chopsticks - nor would the game allow me to cancel or move on. The only thing I could do was quit the game so my friends could continue to play.
Perhaps it's a race condition between the Spoon and the Chopsticks?

After I played chopsticks the game waited for another player who had not played chopsticks and who was not able to proceed in any way. Unfortunately, someone kicked that other player when reaching the time limit.
